Join us for the official launch of CarerVR, an Occupational Therapy-led groundbreaking virtual reality training tool designed to support unpaid carers. This innovative immersive experience, which may also be of interest to professionals working within home-care, provides hands-on guidance for essential caregiving skills, from safe care-techniques to equipment use – empowering carers with confidence and knowledge.

Supported by Public Health Wales, and developed through collaboration between Connecting Realities (in collaboration with Hywel Dda UHB and Pembrokeshire County Council), Pembrokeshire County Council Occupational Therapists and Manual Handling Trainers, and featuring the innovative EmbodyCam by Juice Immersive, CarerVR aims to revolutionise training for unpaid carers, ensuring they receive the support they need to care most safely and comfortably within the home.

The event will be joined by a showcase of local community support organisations and physical demonstrations of the equipment being featured.

The project is also created in partnership with Carers Support Pembrokeshire and their wealth of resources and information for unpaid carers.

Thank you to Etac for sponsoring the event and to SCDWP (the Social Care Wales Workforce Development Programme) for providing the teas and coffees.
